Hirewell Hiring for Customer Service Representative at New Orleans, LA Full Time

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for assisting the customers of tax collection clients in the collector’s office. Specifically, the CSR shall perform advanced clerical and customer service work in the collection and maintenance of sales and property taxes, special assessments, improvement district charges and other type of payments for the Finance Department’s Bureau of Revenue and Treasury.

This is a contract on-site seasonal role for the period of January 8, 2024-March 29, 2024.

Duties and Responsibilities

● Assist individuals in person and over the phone

● Provide professional customer support and ensure customer satisfaction

● Ensure prompt response

● Processing orders, forms, payments, and requests

● Communicating and coordinating with colleagues as necessary

● Keeping records of customer interactions, transactions, complaints, and comments

● Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

● Minimum: High school or GED graduate, Prefer: AA or AS degree

● 1+ years’ experience in clerical or accounting roles

● Governmental tax collection experience preferred

● Strong customer-facing, communication and presentation skills

● Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

● Ability to use or quickly learn tax collection software

● Excellent organization skills, with a strong attention to detail

● Be a self-motivator who is able to prioritize their workload effectively
