The Account Manager will develop and implement annual and quarterly business plans with network partners, with the objective to drive the region’s sales and profit in North America. The Account Manager is responsible for achieving commercial targets for assigned accounts in any Engine segments, including Marine, Industrial, and Power Generation Engines.

• Project management
• Parts and Service network development
• OEM/ Customer development
• Distributor co-op marketing plans
• Ordering and forecasting production schedule

This is a high visibility role within a growing organization. Role will have opportunities for participating in global sales and customer development.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: (exclude duties that are less than 5% of time)

• The Account Manager will manage the relationship with the assigned OEMs and Distributors and be the primary point of contact for issue resolution. They are responsible for developing any required plan of action to address customer concerns.
• Responsible for achieving yearly revenues and profit targets for the assigned accounts and full account management:
• Responsible for acquiring/ renewing contracts with assigned OEMs to secure future growth
• Responsible for defining and implementing sales development plan to achieve profitable growth for assigned accounts
• The Account Manager will partner with marketing department to develop and implement sales marketing initiatives for their accounts (promotional events, demonstrations, open days, factory visits, product presentations)
• Propose the rolling forecast (PO process) working with assigned Distributors and manage the Planning, Forecasting, Ordering, Inventory Management & Scheduling processes
• Continually evaluate Distributor financial results, business management, capital and profits needed to support market growth opportunities and facilitate financial support by CNH Capital for Distributor and wholesale credit risk management
• Fully responsible for CRM entry and management for all business opportunities and leads related to their area of responsibility
• Contribute to understanding of competitive positioning and providing input for future product needs in order to meet future demand
• Assess the market potential and its trends and propose the required actions to further develop the business and monitor competitors’ activity in the Market
• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural, Engineering, or Business-related field.
• 5 years of direct engine experience with Engine Manufacturer/Distributor/ or Equipment Manufacturer OEM.
• 9 years’ experience in a role where customer interface and project management were a focal point of daily activity. Experience with AG/CE, Power Generation, Marine, IPU, or Industrial vehicle engine sales preferred.
• 5 years of either direct sales or sales engineering/technical support experience.
• Experience coordinating with high level management presenting to President, VP, and Board Members.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine design to better support customer projects
• Other duties as assigned

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to prioritize and support multiple initiatives – project management experience preferred.
• The Account Manager will have a strong customer focus, with strong relationship building skills.
• Listening, presentation and communication skills, and office tools (Excel, Powerpoint )
• Ability to self-start initiatives and function independently without management supervision
• Results driven with a high level of energy and an ability to quickly grasp and implement new concepts and methodologies
• Integrity, accountability and credibility with customer and team
• Experience leading and launching new account and customer initiatives / programs
• Experience working within a global, multi-branded organization
• Developing and managing dealer contracts with internal legal departments and external dealer ownership / senior leadership

Travel: Travel involved 50%-75% domestic and quarterly global travel to collaborate with other brands.
