Your new role
A new opportunity from Hays Logistics as a Warehouse Technician has arisen within the Grimsby area. As Warehouse Technician, you will be responsible for performing warehouse duties, to include receiving deliveries and despatching orders, stock control and record keeping.

Principal Accountabilities/Critical Objectives include:

• FLT Driver for the movement of goods and materials for inbound and outbound
• Receive deliveries of goods and supplies
• Check for damaged or missing items
• Store goods
• Move stock around by hand, palletiser, or a forklift truck
• Pick, prepare and check orders
• Load goods
• Keep records of stock
• Keep paperwork up to date
• Clean work area
• Routine cleaning of warehouse floors on a weekly basis or as necessary
• Daily checking forklift equipment for faults or damage
• Ad hoc duties as required.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Counterbalance forklift qualification
• Experience in using FLT with mobile ramps to load/unload wagons is essential
• Desirable to have experience in a warehousing/factory role involving a continuous production line.
• Equivalent of GCSE in English and Maths
• Aware of health and safety regulations
• Good organisation skills
• A methodical and tidy approach
• Flexible and willing to take on a variety of tasks
• Team player
• The ability to work quickly, accurately and safely.

What you’ll get in return
A competitive salary of £28,000 per annum with a full company benefits package. You will work a day-based role, Monday to Friday, 08.00 – 16.00. The role is a full-time, permanent position.
