Role Description

The Site Superintendent will manage the day-to-day operations on active construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities include supervising site activities, coordinating subcontractors and crew members, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring progress, and resolving on-site challenges. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Halifax Metropolitan Area.

Qualifications

• Extensive Construction Management skills, including site supervision, schedule planning, and workflow coordination
• Proficiency in interpreting blueprints, project specifications, and technical documents
• Strong understanding of building codes, safety regulations, and construction best practices
• Problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills to handle on-site challenges effectively
• Team leadership and interpersonal skills to oversee site staff and maintain productive collaboration
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and stakeholders
• Proficiency in construction management software or tools
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various site locations within the Greater Halifax Metropolitan Area
• Previous experience in residential, commercial, or industrial construction is required
• A diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred
