Medical Assistant

Chantilly, VA

MUST:

1 solid years of experience as a clinical medical assistant

Experience working in a clinical research arena a plus

Phlebotomy skills

EKG’s

Obtain vitals

Collect and process lab specimens

Must be articulate

Strong documentation skills

Must be certified or registered or have graduated from an accredited medical assistant school

Experience rooming patients and entering histories into EMR

Cleaning rooms, supplies and equipment

Working with medical records/EMR

Must have experience assisting doctors with procedures

GI experience a plus

DUTIES:

Duties will include but not be limited to the following:

Rooming patients

Taking patient’s histories

Pre-screen patients

Obtaining vitals

Draw blood

Process lab specimens

Document labs and notes

Giving injections and EKG’s

Recruiting patients for studies

Check in patients for research trials

Entering information into EMR

Preparing medical records

Obtaining prior-authorizations

Assisting doctors with GI procedures
