We are seeking a hardworking individual with experience in robotics and algorithm development for an internship position within the Research & Innovation team.

As a Product Software Security intern you will join the Connectivity & Cybersecurity team, leading the development of software features and controls of the surgical robotics system.

These allow the clinical staff to safely and securely interact with the medical system and the cloud. You will be partnering with many teams, including Infrastructure, DevOps, Clinical, and Systems to define, develop, and test the product.

We are looking for a highly motivated candidate to redefine the world of medical robotics. You must have a strong interest in large scale C++ and distributed Linux systems.

The team leads the connectivity, data, networking, logging, and cybersecurity systems. Your main project during the internship will be to update Ottava’s public key infrastructure (PKI) support.

You will learn about PKI, C++, Python, Git, Linux, QNX, Yocto, the cloud, and security policies. This position is located in Santa Clara, CA.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in the product’s public key infrastructure development.
• Work closely with other scientists, researchers, engineers, and developers to transfer solutions to product.

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Engineering Program, pursuing a bachelor’s or graduate degree in software, computer, or equivalent engineering.
• Some cybersecurity interests.
• Some C++, Python, Shell, CMake, certificates experience.
• Ability to relocate across the United States as required by the internship program.

The anticipated base pay for this position is between $27.00 and $50.00, but will be based on candidate’s program year, discipline, degree and / or experience.
