Senior / Lead Software Engineer – Golang

We are currently looking for talented Seniors and Lead Software Engineers in Sydney, Australia.

This is a Permanent Full-time opportunity for Sydney-based candidates only but you will have the flexibility to WFH (work from home) and also in a new, state of art workspace in the CBD.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a passionate and high-performing team to work on a high-traffic platform with millions of users.

In this role, you will work in one of the core teams and functions of the business. This team is being built from the ground up so you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact from day one and take your career further into more senior positions as the business scales.

To be successful for this position, you will need:

• Ideally a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Ideally 5+ years of experience with Golang and/or at least one other programming language: Python, Java, C++
• Microservices and distributed systems experience
• Experience with Infrastructure, DevOps, familiarity with CI and deployment processes
• Experience with AWS, Google, Azure and other cloud services
• Kubernetes, Terraform / Docker
• Able to demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and communication skills

For the lead position, you will need:

• 2+ years experience leading a team
• Experience building and leading a large-scale backend system
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Bonus if you have…

• Basic understanding and knowledge in the front end
• Experience working with cross-functional teams and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience working in start-ups or scaling tech product company
