Logistics Coordinator

Job Summary : As a Logistics Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in managing the coordination and execution of logistics services for our organization, ensuring efficient and timely movement of goods through the supply chain.

Your primary responsibility will be to liaise between our company, clients, and external logistics partners to optimize the transportation, distribution, and overall logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities :

Client Relationship Management :

• Act as the main point of contact for clients, addressing their logistics needs and providing regular updates on shipments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external logistics partners.

Coordination and Planning :

• Collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute logistics strategies that align with organizational objectives.
• Coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring cost-effective and timely deliveries.
• Develop and maintain schedules for shipments and deliveries.

Vendor Management :

• Evaluate, and manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, carriers, and freight forwarders.
• Negotiate quoted pricing with carriers and clients.

Documentation and Compliance :

• Ensure all necessary documentation, including shipping and customer paperwork, is complete and accurate.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and compliance requirements to ensure adherence.

Problem Resolution :

• Proactively identify and address any issues or delays in the logistics process.
• Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to find solutions and prevent future problems.

Data Analysis :

Utilize data and analytics tools to track and analyze logistics performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize supply chain efficiency.

Cost Management :

• Monitor logistics costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising service quality.
• Provide input into budgeting and forecasting processes related to logistics expenses.

Qualifications and Skills :

• Proven experience in logistics coordination, preferably in a 3PL environment.
• Strong understanding of supply chain processes, transportation management, and logistics technology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and clients.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in using logistics and supply chain management software.
• Prefer Bachelor’s degree ideally in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.

Additional Requirements :

• Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary.
• Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures is a plus.

Salary Pay Range : $55,000-$65000 Annually + Bonuses
