Position : Logistics Specialist

Location : Plainview, NY (11803)

A fast-growing cosmetics distributor is looking for a candidate with 1-3 years of experience in Logistics to join their parts management team as a full time specialist.

Job Description & Responsibilities

• Facilitate domestic order deliveries from company warehouse to final destination
• Request quote, analyze and negotiate rates from the forwarders and trucking companies
• Manage and organize communications and relationships with forwarders and trucking companies
• Maintain records for accurate billing purposes
• Manage and track shipment schedules and work to ensure timely delivery
• Coordinate with drayage companies and receivers
• Manager interdepartmental communication regarding import deliveries
• Provide support with other administrative and office assistance as needed

Qualifications

• Must be a team player who works and communicates well across various departments and functions
• Proactive and strong communicator with great attention to detail
• Creative and resourceful with a positive can-do attitude
• Self-motivated, highly organized and with strong follow-up skills
• Responsible, tenacious, and dedicated individual with a strong work ethic and sense of commitment
• Positive attitude and entrepreneurial spirit who can be flexible and an active team player
• Strong analytical and research skills preferred
• Experience in sales and / or shipping / trucking preferred, logistics
• English required (Korean speaking is a plus)
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and web-based research skills required
