Project Manager | Canberra / Hybrid / Offsite / Remote | Citizen | Contract

Job Description:

The Project Manager will manage a diverse range of Technical Information Communications and Technology (ICT) projects. The project capabilities include technology which is multi component, cloud based and on premise systems such as access management, deployable, and data flow systems.

Working under broad direction the Project Manager will typically be responsible for (but in some instances not exclusively) the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs, acquiring and utilising the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality.

Other Skills and Knowledge

Project Management Certification (AIPM Certification at CPPM or other equivalent certification).

Knowledge of IT systems design and development processes.

Previous knowledge of, or experience with, DEF 7013 Project or Advanced & Strategic Capabilities program administration would be highly regarded.

Major Responsibilities:

1.     Responsible for the planning, cost estimating, management and delivery of new capability and system enhancements. Plan and manage phases of system development or enhancement including requirement analysis, high-level system design, testing, implementation and transition

to operations.

2.     Conduct key stakeholder engagement activities to ensure alignment with business case objectives, required outcomes and requirements established by the stakeholders, process owners and internal service providers and technical directors.

3.     Develop and obtain approval for key project documentation including but not limited to High Level Design, Project Plan/Proposal and Stage Plans.

4.     Manage the project ensuring consistency with the organisation’s project methodology.

5.     Manage project risks and issues, providing leadership in the resolution.
