Vertex Pharmaceuticals Hiring for Senior Manager, Patient Support at Boston, MA Full Time

General Summary:

The Senior Manager, Patient Support is a District Leader (DL) that provides day-to-day oversight for one of the geographic districts. This role will lead a team of Patient Support Specialists (PSSs), who interact directly with patients and care centers. This role will lead all aspects of the district’s day-to-day activities – accountable for team coaching and talent development, results and performance, and strategic planning and continuous improvement.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Leads a team of PSSs to deliver exceptional results for enrolled Cystic Fibrosis patients
• Continuously coaches team through in-depth coaching sessions, one-on-ones, team meetings, etc.
• Establishes clear district plans, metrics and goals; inspires the team to achieve them
• Provides frontline support to PSSs, providing guidance and making operational decisions
• Develops and delivers training and serves as a technical resource
• Recruits, retains, and develops team members
• Maintains consistent, compliant communication with field colleagues
• Directly engages with care centers (including through travel) and to support escalated patient situations
• As a people manager within the organization, may have financial accountabilities and human resource responsibilities for assigned staff

Education And Experience

• Typically requires 5 years+ of work experience in healthcare/pharmaceuticals and 1 year+ of supervisory/management experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
