Full-time position available with the Neighborhoods & Community Service Department, Administration Division located at 414 East 12th Street

Salary Range: $18.37-$28.01/hour

Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Welcomes the public and internal customers to City Hall.
• Provides information and assistance related to City Services/Activities, procedures, documentation, or other issues.
• Responds to questions, complaints, or requests for services; analyzes data to determine proper response to inquires.
• Researches requests, problems and complaints and initiate appropriate action; generate work orders to resolve issues; locates and contacts appropriate personnel in City Departments for information or assistance with problems resolution.
• Refers problems to other departments/individuals as appropriate.
• Communicates with supervisor, employees, other departments, City Officials, residents, outside agencies, and other individuals as needed to coordinate work activities, review status of work, exchange information, or resolve problems.
• Performs other duties assigned.

Qualifications

REQUIRES high school graduation and 1 year of public or private sector experience in customer service work; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience. Preference given for bilingual in Spanish.

If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri’s city limits within nine months.
