Created in February 2014 through a 50 / 50 joint venture of the world’s largest and second largest steelmakers, ArcelorMittal and Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation, AM / NS Calvert is located in Calvert, Ala.

Our state-of-the-art steel processing facility has the capacity to process 5.3 million tons of high-value steel grades including hot rolled bands, hot rolled pickled and oiled, cold rolled, and advanced coated products for the automotive, pipe and tube, appliance / HVAC, service center and construction industries in the NAFTA market.

AM / NS Calvert products are marketed in NAFTA through managing joint venture partner ArcelorMittal.

DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?

The External Logistics Planner will provide external logistics planning and coordinating support while managing continual improvement projects related to Supply Chain Management activities focused on the steelmaking process.

The Basics :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Logistics, or related field
• Minimum 2 years of experience with evaluating, planning, and implementing SCM / Logistics activities and projects
• Proficiency in MS Office products

The Extras :

• Steel industry experience preferred
• SAP experience preferred

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

• Provide tactical planning and coordination to support external logistics activities
• Develop, facilitate, and track continuous improvement initiatives to improve overall SCM performance while using project management tools
• Assist with development and monitoring of performance indicators related to improvement initiatives to track overall effectiveness
• Collaborate with various departments for problem resolution
• Ensure working knowledge of competencies as defined in ISO 14001 (current version), IATF 16949 (current version), and ISO 17025 (current version)

• Days, Monday to Friday with extended hours as required due to periods of peak workloads
