Downeast Cider House Hiring for District Sales Manager (CT & RI) at Hartford, CT Full Time

Territory: Connecticut & Rhode Island

Schedule: Monday-Friday

As Downeast Cider’s District Sales Manager for Connecticut and Rhode Island, you will to the VP of Field Sales and lead a team of 3 Sales Reps towards achieving Downeast’s mission of becoming the #1 hard cider company in America. You will execute against revenue, volume, and distribution goals within your region by hiring, training, and motivating your team, while also building and leveraging relationships with Downeast’s wholesale partners. You’ll inspire a team of top performers by effectively training and upskilling new and existing reps in a systematic way, coaching them through roadblocks, and holding your team accountable to their metrics. Road warriors are encouraged to apply, as you’ll ideally spend at least 50% of your time out in the trade coaching and mentoring your team.

What you’ll do:

Build A Strong Team

• Build and manage a sales team of “A-players”
• Hire: Identify top talent and fill vacant positions with a sense of urgency
• Train: Full understanding of our sales process and best practices. The ability to understand the strengths and weaknesses of team members and deliver feedback effectively.

Keep the Hustle High

• Keep team motivation high by building a positive performance based work environment.

Grow Revenue

• Achieve CE, distribution and team goals.
• Build trust and favorability amongst all wholesalers within their wholesaler network
• The ability to leverage wholesaler relationships in order to help achieve sales goals

Who you are:

• 3+ years outside sales experience
• Prior experience with managing wholesaler/distributor relationships, ideally in the alcohol industry
• Track record of providing excellent customer service
• Proven discipline in managing budgets and managing a weekly/monthly account list and sales rep activities
• Reside in the same area as the covered territory
• Personal vehicle (and valid driver’s license) or other applicable transportation for travel around your territory (Downeast will reimburse business mileage)

Bonus points if you have…

• 2+ years of direct sales management experience
• Experience working in the alcohol / liquor / beer / wine industry
• Experience in sales training
• Proficient in Google Suite
