Overview :

The Talent Acquisition Coordinator will execute & identify recruiting plans for full life cycle recruiting : sourcing, screening, and recommending placement of staff by using traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new, creative recruiting methods.

This role is responsible for processing background checks to include NYS Justice Cetner requirements.

Responsibilities :

• Partner with hiring manager and / or recruitment team to determine staffing needs.
• Process background checks to include NYS Justice Center (SEL and Fingerprinting), State Central Register (Child Abuse Registry), and Drivers Abstracts and reference checks if applicable accurately and in a timely manner.
• Screen resumes, phone screen candidates, administer appropriate assessments and reference / background checking.
• Participates in open interview days as well as interviews for sites when needed and / or requested.
• Manage current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS) and manage application / resume file and retention according to company policy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with local colleges and organizations to build a network of current and future recruitment resources.
• Use traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
• Keep up to date with trends in recruitment and work to develop new recruitment resources.
• Assist with the internal transfer process.
• Collaborate with Marketing to develop advertising (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
• Manually update state job boards i.e., NYS Job Bank (DOL), REOC, Rochester Works, Handshake, Purple Briefcase, and ESAAL etc.
• Assists with the development of job-related recruiting content including postings, flyers, and job fair folders.
• Ensure compliance with all federal / state laws and regulations, including affirmative action plan compliance.
• Perform any other duties necessary for the effective and efficient operation of the HR department.

Qualifications :

Education : Associates degree in Business / Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education and experience in Human Resources.

Experience / Characteristics : Minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience; high-volume recruitment experience preferred.

iCims (ATS) experience preferred. Ability to use technology and computers at more than a basic level particularly in MS Office and MS Teams.

Other : Driving record that meets agencys Clean Driving Record Policy. Must have reliable transportation.
