Workforce Australia for Individuals Hiring for Talent Acquisition Officer at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time


This is an opportunity to work for a NSW Government department, one of the biggest employers in Australia. The Government employs an inclusive and diverse workforce, with fun and supportive office environments and flexible work options.

About The Role

  • Working collaboratively with the team to source, attract and hire top talent for the department through various sourcing channels.
  • Maintaining candidate database and proactively source candidates for the purpose of Talent pooling,
  • Responsible for writing and posting advertisements on external and internal job platforms.
  • Review, shortlist and phone screen to identify qualified candidates for advertised roles.
  • Finalising reference checks and any other employment checks which may be required.
  • Ensuring candidates are provided with timely feedback and all candidates have positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Researching and preparing interview guides based on the role descriptions.
  • Ensuring all candidates are provided timely feedback and all candidates have positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Assist with ing, updating recruitment templates and look for ways to streamline and optimise the recruitment process.

Experience / Skills

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment administration or coordination roles
  • Good communications skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Direct experience with varied resourcing channels like LinkedIn, job boards and other social media channels
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as working autonomously under broad direction
  • Strong customer service ethos with a passion for providing excellent service to our clients

You will need to be available for a minimum of 12 months, but the manager indicated strong potential for an extension.
