Health Advocates Network is hiring a Medical Assistant * (1 Year Exp Req)* ! This is a full-time contract position at a nationally recognized hospital * * located in West Palm Beach, FL.
- Pay Rate: $20.00/hour
- Shift: Days 8:30 am – 5:00 pm (Monday – Friday)
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 24 weeks
- COVID Vaccine Required
Job Summary *: * Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician. Administrative duties will include scheduling appointments for COVID-19 vaccinations, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding for insurance purposes related to COVID-19 vaccinations. Clinical duties will include administering the COVID19 vaccination, taking, recording vital signs, and medical histories (as applicable), preparing patients for vaccinations, and administering vaccinations as directed by a physician.
Medical Assistant Qualification And Requirements
- Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Successful completion of Nurse Assistant/Aide program preferred.
- 1+ years’ experience in a hospital, clinic, or medical office.
- Ability to interact and work with diverse populations.
- Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
- Previous experience in a patient care setting.
- Possess superior organizational, interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills. PC Proficient.
- Flexible schedule, allowing for weekends or evenings as needed.
- Additional certifications may be required.
