Calleo Hiring for UI/UX Designer at Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, Australia Full Time

One of our close Federal Government clients are seeking a talented UX/UI designer who has a passion for improving usability while having a keen eye for visual design. Be part of a key program as they look to upgrade and redesign existing systems into a more modern product reflective of the nature and direction of the client.

Due to the nature of the Role, candidates must be Australian Citizens to be found suitable.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Investigating and evaluating user experience design requirements
• Developing and conceptualising a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy
• Producing high-quality UX design solutions through wireframes, visual and graphic designs, flow diagrams, storyboards, site maps, and prototypes.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback and iterate on design solutions.
• Maintain design guidelines, style guides and design systems to ensure consistency across all products.
• Support UAT in relation to tools being designed for use by external stakeholders
• Providing advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyse and predict user behaviour.
• Conducting usability testing to gather feedback from users on the effectiveness and usability of the design. Analyse the design and make necessary adjustments to improve the user experience.

Candidates with the following skills and experiences are encouraged to apply.

• Proven experience as a UX/UI Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, with experience building responsive websites using frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Experience working in an agile environment, utilising Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
• Familiarities with Agile tools and software such as Jira for tracking and managing task, user stories and project progress.
• Strong understanding of usability and accessibility principles
• User research and empathy for users – the ability to conduct user research, analyse data and gain insight into user behaviour and preferences are critical.
• Proficiency in creating wireframes, prototypes and user flows in effectively communicating design concepts.
