We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to join a rapidly expanding mining company that places a strong emphasis on its culture and is eager for further expansion. This recently created position is ideal for an experienced management, financial, or commercial accountant with prior experience in the mining industry or a related heavy services sector. About the role

As the Finance Business Partner, you will adopt a customer-centric philosophy, involving comprehensive analysis, insightful guidance, and strategic direction for leveraging business opportunities, with the primary objective of driving outstanding regional results. This position will be critical in ensuring the execution of financial closing tasks and ing obligations, while also promoting a thorough understanding of costs and providing support for cost management across the business.

Key responsibilities will also include:

• Managing the monthly Profit and Loss (P&L) statement for the region and preparing monthly results for presentation.
• Performing thorough operational analysis and generating KPI s on a weekly and monthly basis.
• Partnering Regional Managers to oversee profitability, providing valuable insights and taking the lead in improving processes and systems to meet ing needs for all business units.
• Ensuring completion of financial closing tasks and ing, including the reconciliation of financial accounts, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

What you will need:

• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, commerce, or a related discipline.
• Proven expertise in both financial accounting and management accounting principles; CA, CPA, and MBA qualifications will be highly regarded.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a commercial accounting setting, including previous involvement in the mining industry or related heavy industries that serve the mining sector.
• An understanding of the factors influencing productivity and performance within the mining industry will be advantageous.
• Capable of exerting influence and communicating effectively throughout all organisational tiers and with a broad range of stakeholders
