Sunrock Hiring for Customer Service Representative Dispatch at Butner, NC Full Time

Individuals in the Ready Mixed Dispatch group play a key, visible role by interacting with customers, identifying their needs, and relaying important communications to all members of the Sunrock team while ensuring maximum utilization of company assets. The position receives guidance with respect to general objectives. In the majority of tasks and projects assigned, the incumbent determines methods, work sequence, scheduling, and how to achieve objectives of assignments while operating within specific policy guidelines. The position will spend approximately two months in a training program that will cover the following functional areas: Quality Control, Concrete Operations, Concrete Dispatch, and Sales. A typical work schedule is Monday-Friday with ten (10) to twelve (12) hour days and rotating Saturdays. The incumbent must practice absolute confidentiality. Good judgment and common sense is required in all duties and any other task as assigned by Supervisor Concrete Dispatch and Concrete Operations. Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) may be required. Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Complies with all safety policies, procedures and established safe practices. s all unsafe conditions and actions to a supervisor and/or the Manager Safety and Health.
• Monitors the safety practices (including PPE) of all team members and proactively addresses deficits.
• Maintains a clean and orderly work area and meets other housekeeping needs as required by Sunrock, MSHA 30 CFR 56.20003, and OSHA 29 CFR 1910.22.
• Receives orders for ready mixed concrete and related products.
• Interacts with customers on a regular basis throughout the day communicating with them as their needs or Sunrock’s abilities change. Makes those changes effective in the system and communicates them internally to all operations, quality, sales, or management personnel who need to be aware of the change.
• Serves as a communication hub between customers and other departments.
• Confers with plant production and yard personnel to establish delivery schedules according to factors such as truck capacities, distances to delivery site, and unloading time.
• Works with plant supervisors and lead drivers to ensure proper driver schedules are developed and properly followed.
• Ensures orders are received and entered into the dispatch software accurately and in a timely manner.
• Provides additional sales support by offering value added products.
• Represents our product and service honestly to internal and external customers.
• Ensures various operations, sales, and quality control personnel receive delivery schedules and requirements for future orders.
• Receives cash payments for shipments and prepares s of cash and charge sales.
• Participates in the opening and closing rotation as determined by the Supervisor Concrete Dispatch.
• Administers the records retention and destruction procedures for your department according to the retention schedule outlined in the Records Management Program Manual.

Required Skills

• Excellent written and oral communications and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to professionally interact with the customer base and Sunrock personnel.
• Aptitude to communicate with customers regarding schedule changes and problem resolution in a manner, which improves the relationship Sunrock, has with the customer.
• Ability to read and interpret documents, in English, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine s and correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization in English.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
• Prioritizes tasks.
• Handles multiple tasks simultaneously

Required Experiences

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required. Associates Degree or Bachelor ‘s Degree in Construction Management or Transportation/Logistics preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of related industry experience and/or training is preferred. Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
