Salary:
$48.60 – 55.11/hr, depending on experience and qualifications, as per the BCGEU Faculty Collective Agreement. Temporary employees receive an additional 2% in lieu of benefits, 6% vacation and 4.2% statutory holiday pay included with each pay period. There is an opportunity to contribute to the College Pension Plan.
Contract will be for a total of approximately 180 hours.
Description:
Northern Lights College offers a wide variety of business management programming for students interested in working towards a career in this field. We are currently recruiting one (or more) sessional instructors to deliver both HADM 310 and HADM 311 to our students in a classroom setting.
HADM 320: Community Health Planning and HADM 330: Health Care Law and Ethics in Canada are required courses in a Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Health Administration. The Post-Degree Diploma in Business Management with a specialization in Health Administration is a credential that primarily attracts international students who already hold a degree in a health field.

Qualifications:
Required:
Master’s Degree in Business Management or Leadership with experience as a health professional in the Canadian health sector; or a Master’s Degree in Nursing with experience in an administrative or leadership role in the Canadian health sector. Equivalent combinations of health and leadership experience and education may be considered.
Commitment to student motivation and success; and the
Ability to function effectively as a team member through collaborative approaches to course pedagogy.
Preferred:
Instructional experience in a comparable or related post-secondary program; and
Experience instructing a culturally diverse group of students, including Indigenous and international students.
