OST is looking for a Logistics Analyst to support our client. We are looking for a results-oriented team player, flexible, and willing to meet the challenges and changing needs of the organization.
This Logistics Generalist – Full Performance should also be able to interpret, understand, and adjust to time-sensitive requirements.
Responsibilities : The Logistics Generalist will be involved in providing customer support to both internal and external customers.
This office is heavily weighted toward accountable property control but does cover the full range of logistical duties including procurements, accountable property, shipping, and receiving.
The team consists of one deployed staff logistics officer and is aligned with five logistical teams based on organizational and geographic structures and locations.
Required Qualifications : Clearance : TS / SCI w FS PolyRequired to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining good communication with the team.
Both transactional and dynamic work.Customer-oriented.Must have both written and verbal communication skills.Arrival and departure are governed by the core hours of the customer – 0700 to 1600.
Work schedule shifts are preferred to cover the majority of core hours.Must be able to lift boxes (50 lbs. in a single lift), help move safes with safe dollies, and package for shipping and property turn-in (PTI).

The candidate will be a responsible officer for several Consolidated Memorandum of Receipt (CMR) and will be required to maintain inventory tracking protocols, enter in new equipment, and process end-of-life material.
Proficient with sponsor asset tracking software and branch accountable property database as well as having the capability to utilize Microsoft Excel for inventory controls is preferred.
Researching historical data to resolve discrepancies and ascertain acquisition costs will be needed.The component has approximately 2,000 assets spread between multiple buildings to maintain.
Must have awareness of regulations, ability to recognize missing data, and ability to rectify incorrect data or missing pieces in the accountable property links.
The officer will be required to complete wall-to-wall inventories on accountable property not found.The candidate will work with accountable officers and other responsible officers to maintain inventory compliance.
Additionally, the Logistics Generalist – Full Performance will need to understand the regulations regarding the difference between Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) / Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) and government equipment.
The resource should have knowledge of the process for GFP / CAP transfers.The candidate will need to have awareness of the property turn-in process and coordinate PTI pick-ups through internal trucking services.
Shipments for transferring officers happen sometimes and internal identifier concerns would be factored in.Renovations within the Washington Metro Area are a possibility, and the candidate could be called upon to assist with a variety of duties.
Ability and willingness to work in a warehouse environment when needed.Will need the capability to package and ship a variety of materials to various locations while observing proper accountable property custodianship.
Must be cognizant of the difference between Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and Contractor Acquired Property (CAP) as well as the contract tracking vs.
government tracking of accountable property.The candidate will need to determine the best shipment method and understand the different packaging requirements based on the shipping option and cover concerns.
Must be able to maintain packaging inventory levels for a one-person operation.Will need awareness of procurement processes and awareness of cover concerns for equipment maintenance and shipping transactions.
Should be able to validate customer requests for technological purchases by interacting and validating customer requirements.
Should be familiar with the different procurement vehicles and how to choose which to use based on requests.The Logistics Generalist – Full Performance will not be required to act as a team lead or supervisor for other logistics team members.
This is a team member position with links to the larger organizationally aligned logistics teams. Must have awareness of regulations and recognize missing data and ability to rectify incorrect data or missing steps in the accountable property links.
Must be aware of and act on the importance of maintaining historical documentation and providing status updates.Preferred Qualifications : Pallet jack skills are requested, and forklift skills are not required.
