We are seeking a Logistics Manager to oversee current business needs, develop strategies, and lead Global Logistics initiatives.

This is a managerial role for managing the transportation throughout the global network and serves as interface between Novavax and network nodes for safeguarding critical material movements.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy to expand the business and clinical activities to commercial products.

This includes development and implementation of business processes and systems cost-effective and streamlined processes for 3PL sites, shipments and supporting.

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with experience and interest in working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment with broad responsibilities and opportunities.

This position will to the Senior Director of Global Logistics and Materials Management.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Manages and oversees Global 3

Party Logistics (3PL), Strategic Partners and Carrier for Novavax Supply Chain workstreams.

• Manages Novavax logistics cold chain management portfolio for packaging and monitoring devices.
• Leads supplier relationship management for Novavax with our transportation providers.
• Oversees Novavax global transportation budget, tracks and monitors spend in addition to invoice verification.
• Ensure compliant Good Distribution Practices (GDP) to include quality system activities such as Deviations, CAPA’s, Change Controls, Complaints, SOP’s / WI’s.
• Manages projects and initiatives aimed at and continuous improvement of transportation practices.
• Designs, monitors, and analyzes KPI’s to enhance transportation operations.
• Identify risks and develop mitigating plans escalate to the Sr Leadership team.
• Knowledge in Supply Chain tools including but not limited to SAP, Orion (EDMS), Project Management Tools, Logistics dashboards, MS Project and as assigned.

Minimum requirements :

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Preferrable 3+ years supporting logistics ideally in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Biotech industry.
• Significant experience managing internal and external supplier and customer relationships.
• Experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle etc.) systems
• Dynamic, motivated, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experienced in the Pharma / Biopharmaceutical or related industry in support of GXP logistical operations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects simultaneously with limited direct supervision.
• Supply Chain (e.g., APICS) certifications preferred.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally – 10%.
