Job Details

Responsibilities :

1. Plan and manage production schedules to meet order fill rate and on-time delivery metrics based on sales forecasts, customer demands, and production lead-times.

2. Optimize inventory levels and working capital while supporting targeted customer service levels.

3. Take part in the logistics planning and contracting of raw materials and finished products.

4. Schedule and direct production planning meetings, track operational performance to schedules, and coordinate necessary adjustments.

5. Utilize a collaborative approach with Inventory Control and Distribution Planning to ensure timely and efficient order fulfillment.

6. Coordinate production requirements with Procurement and Operations to ensure an adequate inventory of raw materials, packaging, and ingredient components.

7. Work closely with Operations to understand and support their needs to facilitate high schedule adherence.

8. Perform other related duties as required.

Qualifications :

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

2. Two to three years of experience in the industry.

3. Three or more years of Supervisory experience.

4. Candidate must possess strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams, areas, and levels of business affecting the forecast process.

5. Must have intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

6. Ability to view the supply chain as a series of linked processes.

7. Must have a solid understanding of electronic business systems.

8. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

9. Strong math skills required.

10. Strong organizational skills and acute attention to detail.

11. Must be self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and ask questions as needed.

12. Knowledge of Epicor or other software related to production planning is preferred.

Additional Supervisory Requirements : *

The Planning & Logistics Leader will also be responsible for supervising a team of professionals within the planning and logistics department.

Supervisory requirements include :

• Provide guidance, coaching, and leadership to the planning and logistics team.
• Set performance goals and conduct regular performance reviews for team members.
• Collaborate with HR for recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Ensure the team’s adherence to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Foster a positive and productive working environment within the department.
• Resolve conflicts and issues within the team in a timely and effective manner.
