Incendia Partners Hiring for Key Account Manager – Department of Homeland Security Full Time

Our Client, focused on threat detection, is setting new operational standards in radiation detection and isotope identification capabilities. A new position for Department of Homeland Security Key Account Manager has just been created.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Key Account Manager will have primary responsibility for capture management across DHS, including identification and closure of new business opportunities, and overseeing successful delivery of programs at the DHS. This position will develop in-depth business strategies and leverage experience working with DHS agencies with a primary focus on CBP, CWMD, S&T. Duties/Responsibilities:

• Customer relationship management: Act as the key point of contact with DHS; Develop a strong and trusting relationship between the customer and Company; Understand DHS organizations by department, function, strategies, and key programs.
• Key Account Strategy: Participate in business planning activities to include weekly pipeline and gate reviews, operating plan development, bid agenda development, opportunity gate reviews, win themes and discriminator solution sessions, and proposal development/review.
• Customer Roadmap & Needs: Leverage experience and pre-existing relationships to understand the customer’s goals and needs that will drive customer success. Collect and analyze data concerning consumer behavior to understand evolving needs and requirements.
• Revenue & Profitability Growth: Provide leadership in identifying, qualifying and managing new DHS opportunities; develop creative and innovative capture strategies to drive revenue and profitability growth for Company.
• Bids & Proposals: Oversee and prepare key account bids and proposals to position Company’s solutions and ensure compliance with requirements/specifications. Manage negotiations with customer with a focus on closing mutually beneficial deals and new winning business.
• Capture Plans: Demonstrated ability to lead and execute disciplined capture and proposal efforts for large and/or complex opportunities.
• ing and Data Analysis: Manage internal ing of KPIs and business development activities related to the Key Account; Conducts cost analyses, estimate expected costs for the project; prepare and implement budgets based on estimates.
• Collaboration: Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests and understand the key account strategy to drive customer success and account growth.
• Customer complaints: Quickly resolve customer complaints and keep track of all processes that pertain to the client’s needs and issues.
• Perform other job-related duties as required.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or physics (Master’s degree a plus Ten or more years of experience working with the DHS (CWMD, CBP and S&T a plus), including program/capture management.
• Proven experience as a DHS key account manager with a track record of closing new contracts and growing the business. Verifiable record of winning new business of $10M+ and a pipeline over $100M+
• Demonstrated ability to lead and execute disciplined capture and proposal efforts for large and/or complex opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with aptitude in building relationships with professionals of all organizational levels.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, including strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience leading and writing technical proposals.
• Able to multitask, prioritize, delegate and manage time efficiently.
• Marketing capabilities to DHS and other Federal customers.
• Strong business acumen and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of FAR and DHS acquisition processes
• Must be able to obtain a US Government security clearance.
• Excellent computer skills with a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
