The GM, Strategy & Business Architecture leads a broad spectrum of strategic, tactical, and operational planning and plays a key translating role between strategy and delivery for QBE in our Australia Pacific operations (AUSPAC).
ing to QBE’s Chief Strategy & Transformation Officer for AUSPAC, this role provides an integral link between strategy and execution and acts as a trusted strategic advisor to leaders and the Executive team, as well as delivering to the Board. You will have accountability for strategic capability (within team and across business) and developing a high-performing and motivated team encompassing strategy, business architecture, human centered design, and business process optimization professionals.
In this role you will lead the strategy development process with the local executive and Board: guiding the process, drawing in external thinking and internal analysis, and challenging the status-quo. You will be responsible for leading the AUSPAC strategy’s day to day work and building a highly effective, impactful, and customer-focused strategy and business architecture function at QBE.
Ultimately you will drive a simpler and stronger QBE for our customers by defining the strategy and how it translates into customer experience, capabilities, systems, and processes.
About You
This is an opportunity for an experienced senior strategy professional who has moved into leadership roles leading strategy in large/complex corporate environments. You will be a passionate people leader and possess skillsets in consulting, influencing, and idea promotion, including situational analysis and decision-making.
Financial services or insurance experience would be ideal but is not essential. Equally, it will be beneficial to have worked in highly regulated environments.
