How to Make the Team

The New York Islanders Group Sales Department will take the lead on all aspects of group experiences, up-selling, cross-selling and customer service with a goal of creating an exceptional fan experience for our guests. This role will directly to the Director, Group Sales and will be responsible for building, coaching, and managing the team of frontline group sales reps.

Show Us You Can

• Hire, train, and establish the management process for our team of Group Sales Account Executives;
• Achieve and exceed a yearly revenue goal;
• Assist in the creative concepts of group ticket sales materials, including brochures, flyers, and all other digital support;
• Work with Business Analytics Dept for bulk lead generation for each rep;
• Facilitate CRM-based initiatives and sales campaigns;
• Take an active leadership role in weekly sales meetings, both department and individual appointments, to make sure all Group Sales AEs are being held accountable and pacing towards their individual goals;
• Promote cross-selling across all UBS Arena platforms;
• Provide superior customer service for all group leaders and other ticket plan members;
• Creative thinking for the next big idea to assist the organization in achieving sales goals;
• Collaborate with the Creative team on bringing sales collateral to life through clear creative briefing and concept review
• Support the group sales team on grassroots programs, lead generation, special events, project management and other initiatives

Your Training & Talent

• Bachelor’s degree required;
• Minimum of three years of successful sales experience working for a professional sports franchise or venue in group sales;
• 1-2 years management experience a plus;
• Leadership traits to influence others positively with gravitas and empathy
• Sales oriented; committed to teamwork and going above and beyond the customers’ expectations
• Must have good decision-making ability;
• Strong collaboration and time management skills
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and organization skills
• Problem-solving skills & ability to handle multiple projects at the same time
• Must be a flexible & reliable team player, both within own department and within company;
• Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Ticketmaster Archtics system;
• Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access);
• Strong analytical skills;

Where You’ll Go

• Based in our Floral Park, NY office. Currently hybrid with 3 days in office.
• Attend home games and other group events (events can fall on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays)
• Traveling on occasion with the possibility of air travel and/or an overnight stay (<5% travel)
