Labourer (Processing Facilities)
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain up to date inventory of onsite waste
Characterization of waste based on analysis
Learn and Comply with all legislation regarding reg.347, TDG and WHIMIS
Sample containers of material
Bulk and lab pack materials
Knowledgeable in the operation of a Vac truck
Operate fork lift
Load and unload trailers and box trucks
Perform analysis and testing
Basic understanding of potential chemical reactions (compatibility)
Maintain up to date equipment inspections
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
Previous solid or liquid waste experience is preferred
Post-Secondary education in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Technology or Internship in a related field is preferred
Labourer (Industrial Services)
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for day to day monitoring or assigned project.
Maintain cleanliness of Tools and Equipment and Industrial Services Shop.
Power washing and High Pressure Water blasting as required.
Line snaking, Drain and Pipe Inspections as required.
Industrial cleaning of chemical non-hazardous and hazardous wastes.
Assist on Vacuum Trucks/plant operations as required.
Confined Space Entry/ Rescue as required for Industrial Services Projects.
Working while using Respirator or Supplied Air Breathing Apparatus.
Shoveling, Jack Hammering, Squeegee, Scraping and heavy lifting as required.
Operate Pick-up truck, utility trailer, forklift, excavator, bobcat, etc.
Operate Aerial boom lift/Scissor Lift as required.
Knowledge, Skills & Competencies:
Experience working in Industrial settings an asset.
Previous experience with Vacuum Trucks, Industrial Power-washing or Water-blasting, or Liquid Waste Industry experience strongly preferred.
Previous experience with Confined Space Entry or Work at Heights an asset.
Experience working with Respirators and Supplied Air Systems an asset.
Ability to work flexible hours/shifts, days, evenings, nights & possibly weekends or holidays.
Class G license required.
Camp labourer details:
On-site accommodation will be provided (food and housing)
Busses will run from Toronto Pearson Airport for those located out of GTA
14 and 7 OR 7 and 7 schedules
