Job Summary: Provide patient care in an acute care hospital or outpatient setting under the direction of the Imaging Technologist or Radiologist. Responsible for staging patients in preparation for the imaging required including starting IV�s if needed. Update all patient medications and health history at each visit. Perform patient related tasks as directed. Ensure all needed medical records are available to care teams. Coordinate with other team members to provide exceptional patient service. Assist with other clinical and clerical duties to ensure optimization of patient experience. The Imaging Assistant is required to be proficient in all applicable software systems relevant to the job.# Minimum Qualifications:# Education: A high school degree or equivalent.# Experience: One year experience in a healthcare setting with knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy required. Experience in performing phlebotomy preferred.# Licensure/Certification: Certification as a Certified Medical Assistant is preferred. Must maintain strict confidentiality of work related and patient sensitive information. Ability to work/float to other locations as necessary. Conducts tasks in a manner to fulfill effective departmental and organizational business. Ability to work with limited supervision and with a group.#
