ing to the Assistant Director of Employee & Labor Relations, the Talent Acquisition Administrator is an integral member of the Talent Acquisition team responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service to our Faculty, Administrators, Students and Staff and timely resolution of all Talent Acquisition related issues and requests.

This is a visible role that requires the ability to maintain the highest degree of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times, possess a high level of professionalism, and be customer service driven and flexible in attitude.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

• Serves as primary service owner for pre-employment background checks to include ensuring timely submission into the ADP system, actively reviewing background checks in progress, sending clearances, and following up with candidates and hiring managers on status as necessary.
• Assists in the review and preparation of the monthly ADP statement for background checks and updates budget information as necessary.
• Reviews credentialing for non-paid faculty within the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra / Northwell and Hofstra Northwell School of Nursing and Physician Assistant Studies.
• Assists the Talent Acquisition Specialist with job postings, screening applicants, reviewing resumes, scheduling interviews, performing reference checks, and coordinating pre-employment testing when required.
• Responds to inquiries within the Talent Acquisition email inbox to include PeopleAdmin troubleshooting.
• Primarily responsible for the processing and completion of employment verifications.
• Provides support to the Talent Acquisition Specialist on various projects and initiatives including career fairs and other recruitment related activities.
• Assists with new hire employment and payroll paperwork for employees and student employees ensuring accurate completion for processing.
• Provides tier one level support to Hofstra University employees, faculty, and students as it relates to HR processes and procedures.
• Provides rotational back-up HR Office reception coverage.
• Completes HR projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a related field.
• Minimum 0-1 years of related human resources experience or internships.
• Proven ability to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Must be detail oriented with strong prioritization skills.
• Capable of working independently with little supervision as well as serve as a productive team member.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Strong interpersonal, diplomacy, communication and listening skills.
• Must have a passion for excellent customer service and commitment to exceptional quality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest and aptitude in the field of Human Resources preferred.
• Prior experience in a University setting.
• Prior experience working within PeopleAdmin or other Applicant Tracking System.

Salary / Salary Range $58,500

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience and education.
