British American Household Staffing Hiring for EB – Night Newborn Care Specialist – TriBeCa at New York, NY Full Time

A sweet couple based in the TriBeCa neighborhood of NYC is seeking a nighttime newborn care specialist for their first baby, due January 18th, 2024. The schedule will be 7pm to 7am for the first 14 days in a row. Following that, the schedule will be 7pm to 7am Sunday night through Thursday night (finishing Friday mornings). The contracted term will be 8 weeks, with the possibility to extend to 10 weeks.

Job responsibilities will include care and safety of the newborn, maintaining tidiness and cleanliness of the baby’s belongings and spaces, and educating the parents regarding the needs of their new baby. They hope to find a NCS who can strike a balance between being confident and knowledgeable while also being supportive and can follow through on the preferences of the parents when needed. The ideal candidate is calm, warm, and has a keen sense of discretion. They value privacy and respect, and will, in turn, give that back to their NCS. For the first week of baby’s life, a grandmother will be visiting and occupying the second bedroom (putting baby and NCS in a temporary set-up in a common space), but following that week, baby and NCS will have their own designated space. Both parents speak Mandarin in addition to English, so someone Mandarin-speaking would be a plus. You must be fully vaccinated for all recommended doses, including the coming COVID boosters, flu shot, TDAP, and MMR.
