We are a dynamic Nephrology Practice dedicated to improving patient care. Join our team as a Medical Assistant/Receptionist and play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our medical facility. We offer a flexible schedule and opportunities for paid travel to remote office locations as needed.

Proven work experience in a medical assistant, patient access representative, or nursing role.

Proficiency in medical office procedures.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Utilize previous healthcare or related experience to excel in a fast-paced environment.

Verify patient insurance plans and assist with related paperwork.

Accompany patients to examination rooms and obtain vital signs.

Conduct patient interviews and document essential medical history.

Create and distribute various forms of correspondence, including memos, letters, faxes, and forms.

Proficiently navigate and maintain electronic medical records (experience with Athenahealth is a plus).

Prepare and maintain clean treatment rooms.

Execute all administrative duties promptly and accurately.

Liaise with insurance companies to ensure proper billing and medication authorization procedures.

Qualifications

Fulfill any other responsibilities as defined by management.

Degree or certification in medical assistance or nursing is a plus.

Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).
