Job Description

CALIBRE Systems, Inc., an employee-owned Management Consulting and Digital Transformation company, is seeking a Logistics Planner for the Office of the Chief, Army Reserve (OCAR) with duty at Fort Bragg, NC at the United States Army Reserve Command (USARC)

Tasks include :

Serve as the Logistics Planner for the United States Army Reserve Command G4. Review and analyze the Army’s equipping strategy and documents regarding equipment resourcing and distributions to the Army’s POM and BES.

The individual shall provide analytical and data support relating to the following current and future Army Reserve equipping requirements, but not limited to :

Reviewing, modifying, and developing logistics concept of support plans for future and current operations at strategic, operational, and tactical levels including, but not limited to, Operations Plans (OPLANS), Concept Plans (CONPLANS), Planning Orders (FRAGOS).

Develop and review Logistics Concept of Support plans by commodity, distribution & storage plans, and various associated Army Reserve equipment management concepts.

• Prepares logistics staff estimates and uses the Military Decision Making Process (MDMP). Advises and s to the Chief on all logistical planning considerations.
• Serves as subject matter expert for all logistical planning aspects and must understand functional and multi-functional logistics units’ organizational structures and capabilities.

Reviews documents pertaining to unit MTOE / TDA organization, force structure, equipment requirements, and doctrine.

• Produces mission analysis products, develops COAs for each activity or concept planned; plans and synchronizes all activities of the equipping, supply, services and movement management operations to ensure adequate CSS concept of support plans, movement plans and operation orders.
• Provides the Theater Sustainment Command staff and subordinate commands information, advice, and assistance on Army logistics policies and requirements applicable to assigned areas.

Keeps abreast of DOD and Army logistics policies, doctrines, and concepts, and how these interface with, or impact upon, Theater operational level logistics, Army Reserve logistics management, and other policies and plans.

Identifies potential / real conflicts and disparities and recommends actions for resolution.

Serves as the logistics subject matter expert of a cross functional Operations Planning Group (OPG). Produces logistics estimates, concepts of support, and written / oral briefings to and for the Commander and Staff Principles.

Provides continuous estimates throughout the planning process. s to and assists the Chief with planning and developing all mission related products.

Performs as the SPO planning center of information; working with input from other sections and from other internal and external specialized staff or units.

Requires working closely with the logistics operations officer, maintaining liaison with other staff directorates, contractors, and higher commands, involved in Army Reserve logistics management, mobilization, and deployment planning plans and processes.

Contingency Planning. Serves as subject matter expert in the area of contingency plans and planning, provides advice and assistance to the G-4 Staff for planning concepts, objectives, and formulation of supporting plans.

Reviews current OPLANS and CONPLANS and prepares revisions as necessary.

Concept of Support Development. Serves as a subject matter expert for all Combat Service Support (CSS) functions especially equipping, supply support, maintenance support, transportation support and field service support.

Uses logistics estimating tools such as OPLOG Planner and the Logistics Estimate Worksheet (LEW) to determine logistical requirements.

Required Skills

Preferred Skills :

• Five to seven years’ experience performing in depth logistics planning
• Microsoft Officer Specialist Certification (Excel, Access).
• Experience and understanding of Force Management System Website (FMSWeb), Decision Support Tool (DST), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A).

Required Experience

Three (3) years’ experience performing in logistics planning.

Preferred Experience :

• Five (5) years of Army Logistics Planning related experience at the HQDA, OCAR, USARC or Army command level
• Prior military experience / background
• Army logistics / acquisition management experience
• Army PPBE experience

Required Education :

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school

Preferred Education :

• Master’s Degree from an accredited school
• Graduate of CGSC or ILE if former military officer or commensurate Professional Military Education if former military Warrant, Enlisted, or Civil Service
