Job description

We are looking for a reliable, hard working and enthusiastic general labourer to join our company. The position will include assisting crew members and foreman with their daily activities which includes, but not limited to: installation of underground utility services, road and sidewalk preparation and construction, excavation and land development related activities.

Key Responsibilities

Complete all assigned tasks and duties, follow instructions from supervisor and/or foreman, etc.

Physical labour, including raking, shoveling, lifting, demolition & compaction activities.
Handle and distribute construction materials (e.g. load and unload vehicles with supplies, equipment, and construction materials; move tools, equipment, and construction materials to and from work areas; remove rubble and other debris). Prep and clean up construction sites.

Excavate, backfill, and compact subgrade (e.g. move and level earth using shovels and rakes, operate tampers).

Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to continuously changing work tasks.

Ability to work in all weather conditions and environments.

Ability to work independently and as an active team member, and have a positive attitude

Experience is an asset, but not required. Valid Drivers Licence required.

Location: Cranbrook and East Kootenay Area

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
