VP of Engineering

The Vice President of Engineering is a visionary individual with a proven background in plant startups, technology improvements and automation in high speed food packaging operations.

The company is a recognized leader in their industry, has had strong growth over the years, and is continuing to grow through increased market share, new high tech facilities and acquisitions.

Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Food Science, or related fields.

2. MBA from Top Business School preferred.

3. Proven results using Lean Tools to drive Operational Excellence.

4. 5-10 years of executive level experience leading engineering groups through the design and development of new technologies in packaging and automation, plant startups and technology improvements in the Food & Beverage Industry.

Previous working experience as a VP or in a similar leadership role preferred.

5. 10+ years of experience relevant to manufacturing confectionary equipment and consumer-packaged goods in the food industry

6. Exceptional executive presence, business acumen, negotiation, and presentation skills.

7. Budgeting and / or financial focused mindset.

8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must.

9. Knowledge of world class manufacturing techniques and strategies, including automation and robotics

10. Strategic mindset with emotional intelligence

11. Mentorship skills

12. Outstanding organizational and leadership abilities.

13. Bilingual English Spanish preferred.
