Cloud Recruit has partnered with an industry leading social care provider of residential services for young people with Autism and Learning Difficulties.

You will work closely with the Registered Manager to develop and implement individual programmes for each young person, and you will supervise a team of staff who are dedicated to providing high-quality care and support.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Creating a safe and supportive environment for Learners and Young People, and managing their well-being and behaviour in a positive and proactive manner.
• Ensuring the effective implementation of individual programmes, and supporting the teaching and learning, social and independence activities and experiences of Learners and Young People.
• Supervising and guiding a team of staff, and contributing to their performance and professional development.
• Developing local procedures and ensuring that all actions comply with policy and procedure, regulatory, statutory and compliance requirements, and meet quality standards.
• Working effectively with parents, colleagues, outside agencies and other professionals.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a relevant residential setting working with children with autism and/or learning disabilities (LD)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children and young people with Autism and/or LD
• Strong writing, recording, and ing skills, in line with company and statutory requirements
• Availability to undertake shift work on a rotating basis, including weekends

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3-4 in social care (essential)
• Minimum of 2 years’ previous experience in a senior role (desirable)
