Velocity Search Hiring for Engineering Director at Brockton, MA, US Full Time

The Engineering Director is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing engineering operations through a team of functional managers and supervisors.

The role is accountable for aspects of plant performance

• utilizing continuous improvement strategies and supporting operations to ensure objectives are attained in a cost-effective manner that is consistent with company values.
• This role is responsible to lead all of engineering, maintenance, facilities, and security for the company.
• Responsible for safety, productivity, continuous improvement, capital project execution, and employee engagement.
• Ensure that all manufacturing operations are carried out in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and laws governing business operations and building compliance.
• All quarterly, and yearly ing are completed.
• Insures all known monthly quarterly and yearly permits, testing and verification are done.
• Hold wastewater state license and work with the city of Brockton on any wastewater issues.
• Manages Boiler program and requirements.
• Develops, owns, and executes department budgets.
• Maintenance, Factory Expense, Contractors, Services, etc.
• Develops and track yearly need for Capex Financials.
• Work with finance to determine ROI, and cost savings opportunities.
• Negotiate contracts and review invoices for all related expenses.
• Provide strategic direction and priorities in support of the maintenance team.
• Collaborate on the allocation of maintenance resources and activities tied to equipment installations,
• Capital expenditures projects and other maintenance work.
• Support the maintenance department to ensure effective plant facilities and equipment, improve preventative maintenance program and work order process.
• In collaboration with IT, Responsible for building security. Alarm system, fire system, ensure building is secure.
• Provide technical expertise and problem-solving skills for day-to-day operations.
• Support Engineering, maintenance, and Operations team to execute the daily plan for product.
• Collaborate and Support other functional leaders to deliver overall company goals
• Collaborate, partner, and demonstrate leadership as a core member of the safety leadership team.
