🌾 Job Posting: Azure Monitoring Engineer for DAFF 🌾

Azooa is actively seeking a qualified Azure Monitoring Engineer to work with prestigious client the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry (DAFF). As a key member of DAFF’s BAU Enterprise Monitoring Team, which falls under the Digital Services Division (DSD), you’ll be instrumental in managing ICT across Australia and globally. This role offers the chance to work in a secure, cutting-edge environment that operates 24/7.

🎯 Role Overview 

Become a part of our Enterprise Monitoring team. Enhance our department’s monitoring capabilities, reducing service disruptions for various stakeholders like exporters and importers. 

🛠️ Responsibilities 

1️⃣ Development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines 

2️⃣ Configuration and management of Azure Monitor, AppDynamics, and Splunk 

3️⃣ Implementation and integration of new monitoring toolsets 

4️⃣ Documentation and execution of changes under the ITIL framework 

5️⃣ Consultation and tool refinement with business stakeholders 

6️⃣ Coordination of service requests and incident responses under ITIL 

7️⃣ Updating and maintaining departmental documentation 

📅 Additional Details 

🗓 Start Date: Monday, 06 November 2023 

📆 Contract Duration: 12 months (possibility of two 12-month extensions) 

📍 Location: ACT, QLD, Offsite (Preference for ACT or Brisbane-based staff) 

🛡️ Security: Baseline Security Clearance 

🏠 Working Arrangements 

Remote work possible, with a preference for ACT or Brisbane-based staff. Mandatory 3-monthly, week-long workshops.

📋 Essential Criteria 

1️⃣ Technical Operations: 5+ years in a technical operations role (Weighting: 20%) 

2️⃣ Monitoring Expertise: Experience in application and infrastructure monitoring (Weighting: 30%) 

3️⃣ DevOps and Automation: Experience in DevOps and automation, with proficiency in KQL (Weighting: 30%) 

4️⃣ Documentation and Communication: Ability to document and communicate effectively (Weighting: 20%) 

🌟 Desirable Criteria 

1️⃣Experience in software development using .Net technologies
