The Director Fixed Internet Products – Home is an executive position and a critical leader in the wider Optus Home team where you will spearhead the fixed internet team to develop and manage the end to end product, proposition and P&L performance for the Optus consumer branded Home fixed products, with specific focus on fixed broadband including any bundling of Optus entertainment, Smart Space, O-Team and Living Network products!

In addition to strong collaboration with the direct Home team, this role is required to engage effectively across the wider Optus organisation to lead and support cross functional execution, including with Marketing, Sales, Service, Devices, Network, IT, Legal & Regulatory, and Finance teams.

Your focus will be to ensure delivery of the right customer experience and bottom-line margin growth through profitable customer growth and appropriate base management strategies.

Throughout this role you will be accountable for the end to end management of Optus’s Home consumer fixed P&L and associated products and propositions, product operations and NBN regulatory compliance, where you will need to establish and implement a sustainable strategy, initiatives and rolling roadmap, ensuring Optus’s fixed Home propositions are clearly differentiated, delighting customers and addressing a highly competitive and dynamic market.

Core duties include

• End to end management of home fixed products and associated propositions and the delivery of the fixed home P&L performance in line with annual operating plan
• Driving strategic thought leadership, product design, propositions, strategy and future capability investments
• Lead the ongoing product lifecycles, development and feature implementation for fixed products
• Development of the home fixed product roadmap, including innovative new products and services, and successfully bringing those to market
• Specific ownership of the strategy and leadership of the Optusnet email service.
• Developing and driving all fixed product launch plans and associated product marketing plans
• Leading the development and maintaining effective pricing and proposition road maps and strategies including strategic product pricing

What makes you ideal for the role?

• Tertiary qualified in Marketing, Business or Engineering
• Significant practical experience working with a large customer base in a senior product or proposition marketing leadership role within a telco environment
• You have a proven track record as an enterprise leader with experience running a P&L and a strong understanding of revenue and cost elements
• You can effectively influence across a senior audience and are capable of crafting & executing strategic objectives and plans
• Deep understanding of the Australian Internet / multimedia/ consumer products industry
