TheDriveGroup Hiring for Senior Data Engineer at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Full Time

A multi-national business is undertaking a large data trasnformation here in Sydney and hire a Senior Data Engineer to focus on data quality and integrity.

The business specialises in high-frequency sports data and offers a platform to allow clients and customers access to real-time data. As a result, the platform requires a specialist to ensure that a high standard of Data Quality is maintained and that real-time pipelines are able to interact with high-quality data.

Responsibilities:

• Manage data quality issues between stakeholders and engineering for sports feeds and downstream processes.
• Collaborate with developers to resolve data issues and enhance data quality.
• Develop SLAs to improve data integrity and quality.
• Conduct in-depth data analysis and implement strategies for data quality improvement.
• Design and execute data validation procedures, creating metrics to monitor data quality.
• Collaborate with IT teams to automate data validation and enhance data quality tools.

Experience:

• Tertiary qualification in Computer Science or related field.
• Sports Gaming / Gambling experience is required
• 6+ years of Data/Quality Engineering experience, specifically with Sports Data
• Proficient in data quality concepts, data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment techniques.
• Strong business acumen to prioritize data-related engineering work.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work alongside diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in SQL and Python or C#
