About Greenstock

Greenstock is Woolworths’s end-to-end multi-channel red meat business, combining deep industry expertise with advanced analytics to deliver high quality and sustainable beef, lamb and pork to Woolworth’s existing and new sales channels in Retail, Food Services, Wholesale and International. Launched in 2021, Greenstock consolidates the Group’s existing livestock procurement, processing, trading and supply/demand teams. With Woolworths’s shift into a new era as an ecosystem retailer, the multibillion dollar Greenstock has high single to low double-digit per cent revenue growth ambitions over the next three years.

Purpose of the role

The Business Analyst operates within the “Buy” phase of Greenstock’s business cycle. The purpose of the role is to partner closely with the Strategic Livestock Sourcing Team to deliver financial analyses and ing that enhance the team’s decision making capabilities, and help them execute against their economic, sustainability and animal welfare goals. This role will also support Greenstock’s standard primal costing, and will assist in shaping this costing methodology going forward.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Partner with Strategic Sourcing Team to build/present budgets and rolling forecasts, making use of financial modelling and presentation skills
• Assist in developing weekly variance analysis to support end to end ing requirements – explain key movements vs. budget, forecast & comparable period
• Support tactical and strategic initiative development with analysis
• Leverage data to create actionable insights and meaningful recommendations that empower your business partners to make the right decisions
• Ad-hoc support and partnering with Greenstock Operations, Strategy/Analytics and Finance teams as required
• Assist in preparing annual primal costing budget and subsequent forecasts
• Support maintaining primal costing standards and track variances to standards on a monthly basis

We are looking forward to hearing how you may have demonstrated these capabilities whilst also thinking about your experience in:

• Minimum 2 years experience, Finance related degree and desired CA/CPA qualified or working towards
• Strong work ethic, proactive and a curious mindset
• Financial modelling experience, with a desire to add value through analysis and insight
• Presentation skills, with the ability to summarise complex financial information into succinct and actionable insights that all can understand
• Previous exposure to advanced system tools including Excel, Google Cloud Platform, Python and MySQL with willingness to further build knowledge in this area
• Desired experience within the livestock, meat processing or manufacturing industries
