Looking for someone interested in a career in residential construction. Ideally, the candidate will eventually further develop skills and lead a crew of their own. CONSTRUCTION LABOUR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED! Drywall experience preffered.

Skilled Helper Job Responsibilities:

• Build walls and floor systems using various construction methods
• Install tile and waterproofing in shower and floor systems
• Fit and installs windows, doors, door hardware, interior and exterior trim.
• Shapes or cuts materials to specified measurements, using appropriate hand tools and power tools.
• Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
• Builds or repairs cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, or other wooden fixtures used in buildings, using woodworking machines, hand tools, or power tools.
• Assembles and fastens materials to make frameworks or props, using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue.
• Inspects ceiling or floor tile, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork to detect broken or damaged structures.
• Cleans up worksite debris.

Work Hours

Typically 8am – (4-5pm)

Overtime occasionally available

Skilled Helper Qualifications / Skills/Experience:

• Experience in residential construction (drywall experience preffered)
• Great attention to detail, must take pride in jobs and must not be willing to sacrifice quality
• Self motivated worker, able to complete jobs in timely manner.
• Must be professional, honest and polite
• Must have valid drivers license

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$24.00 per hour
