LOCATION:

Sydney South West – free parking on-site + walking distance from public transport + hybrid working model (2 days from home).

SALARY:

Excellent base salary on offer of $80k – $90k + 16.5% Super + 5% Bonus + 17.5% Leave Loading + Insurance + Other Benefits.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

ing to an entrepreneurial and highly influential Finance Manager, this Financial Accountant is a highly visible and crucial role. The purpose of the role is to assist the Finance Manager and CFO by building a best-of-breed finance function thus enabling commercially responsible decision making. In this highly autonomous and empowering role you will have exposure across the entire business including Sales, Marketing and Operations. This is a critical role to assist in driving the business through its aggressive hyper-growth ‘expansion phase’ through the building of strong foundations supported by a solid finance process and commercial framework.

As the Financial Accountant, you will support the Finance Manager’s remit in ultimate accountability for end to end financial management across the company. Critical to the role will be developing a ‘Vision’ for superior service in finance. This will involve driving automation and creating efficiencies in finance processes.

This role not only requires an excellent technical and analytical mind but also someone that can think outside of the box and not be afraid to challenge the status quo.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ing to a high performing Finance Manager and working closely with the senior leadership team including the CFO and Head of FP&A, your key responsibilities will include:

Financial ing and analysis

• Assist with the Agile ing automation project.
• Prepare & Assist monthly ing and analysis of key financial metrics including creating KPI s around Cash flow (accounts payable and receivable) and Inventory.

Audit & compliance

• Work with Finance Manager to coordinate audit process.
• Key liaison for auditors.
• Ensuring internal compliance with key processes and controls (including documentation).

Cash flow ing (TRT)

• Work with Finance Manager to ensure accuracy and completeness of TRT along with all submissions.

Tax submissions

• Key contact for BDO, organisation, coordination, etc.
• Assist with Transfer Pricing.

Month End and Year End ing

• Preparing the monthly profit and loss, and balance sheet s.
• Prepare and post monthly journals.
• Assist with the preparation of statutory accounts.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Liaise with broader finance team ensuring compliance with quarter end sign off.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

You have at least 2 years’ experience in an Assistant Accountant/Financial Accountant position. You may also be a Big 4/Mid-Tier first mover looking for your first step into a true commercial position. You are either already CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion. You possess month end experience and feel comfortable managing P&Ls. You have a deep desire to progress your career into a more commercial and analytical path.
