Overview
Job Purpose
This position is responsible for monitoring Gas Distribution Operations compliance with federal and state Operator Qualification regulations. Assists in the updating of the task to title matrix and Job roles in the Operator Qualification testing system. Works with the Technical training team to coordinate and schedule the testing services.
Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Review and monitor company and contractors operator qualification compliance in the field
- Support gas operations and executing the RIE operator qualification plan in Blue Sky and emergency situations.
- Maintain a positive and professional rapport with various state and federal regulatory agencies –
- Assist in maintaining RIE Operator Qualification Plan in conjunction with the NGA plan.
- Provide Operator Qualification records as requested.
- Support the Technical Training team in aligning the training to the Operator Qualification program and assist with the OQ testing plan and 3 year cycle.
- Schedule the written and Practical testing proctors
- Maintain and improve system functionality and validation of Data Processing.
- Performs other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Knowledge & Experience Requirements:
- Associate degree in Business, Applied Science, Political Science, Engineering, and a minimum of 2 years of experience in data management including BI and or SharePoint processes and programming or Bachelors of Science in Business, Applied Science, Political Science, Engineering or Education and 1 years of data management.
- Candidate must demonstrate an understanding of the importance of personal accountability and commitment to best in class performance; exemplifies the company’s commitment to operator qualification compliance by exhibiting a highly professional demeanour in all situations
- Candidate must have the ability to promote a positive work ethic; must be well organized yet flexible, with the ability to handle special assignments and meet multiple deadlines
- Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills and have the ability to prepare and deliver effective presentations
- Requires the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
- Requires experience in BI or other processes with in Office/ share point to facilitate the dissemination of large quantities of data.
- Excellent interpersonal skills needed with the ability to interact with all levels within the company and the ability to lead and direct large numbers of employees within classroom and field settings
- Driver’s license is required.
NOTE: Employees selected for this classification will be required to participate in federally mandated drug testing programs prior to selection, randomly on a year round basis, after an accident and for reasonable cause.
