Job Description:
Blue Water Thinking is seeking a meticulous and organized Scheduler to join our team, supporting a large program at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The Scheduler will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the timeline of our program initiatives, ensuring optimal performance and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage detailed project schedules, ensuring alignment with project objectives and deliverables.
- Coordinate with team members to understand tasks, dependencies, and timeframes, incorporating this information into the project schedule.
- Monitor project progress, adjusting schedules as necessary to accommodate changes or delays.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members regarding schedule status and potential issues.
- Use scheduling tools and software to maintain accurate and up-to-date project timelines.
- Support risk management efforts by identifying potential scheduling risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with the project management team to integrate scheduling with other project activities.
- Build relationships with VA and other government stakeholders, ensuring their expectations are managed in terms of project timelines.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in scheduling or a related role within a project management setting.
- Proficiency in project management and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in project scheduling or project management (e.g., PMI-SP, PMP).
- Experience working with government contracts and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with VA systems, processes, and policies.
- Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proficiency in risk management principles as they apply to scheduling.

Eligibility:
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the required federal public trust clearance for this role.
Compensation:
Salary for this position is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, location, the candidate’s particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The proposed salary range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000.
