POSITION DESCRIPTION

As the HR Generalist, you will own recruitment, onboarding, training, and culture initiatives at Midwest Barrel Co. Your well-rounded skills will make you the owner of various administrative and office management functions, while your passion for people’s success and culture will drive you to excel in HR tasks. ing directly to the CEO, your contribution will not only streamline the hiring process but also free up leadership to pursue strategic initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruitment & Hiring

• Create and lead all recruitment processes, from job posting to interviewing, to onboarding.
• Work closely with department heads to understand hiring needs and ensure alignment with company culture.
• Collaborate with external recruitment agencies, if necessary, and maintain relationships for future needs.

Onboarding & Training

• Design, implement, and manage a comprehensive onboarding process for new hires.
• Develop and oversee training programs to enhance employee growth and performance.

Culture Initiatives

• Foster a positive workplace culture that reflects Midwest Barrel Co.’s core values.
• Plan and execute team-building and culture-enhancing events and activities, such as the annual holiday party.

Office Management

• Administer tech systems such as Aircall, ensuring smooth operation and integration within the company.
• Handle various office manager functions, such as maintaining office supplies, coordinating with vendors, and managing facilities.
• Partner with our IT company to manage employee hardware and provision software licenses.

Strategic Collaboration

• Collaborate with the CEO and other senior leadership to align HR strategies with business goals.
• Assist in rapidly expanding our team. Develop streamlined processes that will help us reach our strategic goals even faster.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a generalist HR role.
• Strong understanding of recruitment processes and talent acquisition strategies.
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency in HR software and tools, including familiarity with tech systems like Aircall.
• Passionate about people, process, and culture.
• Comfortable using a wide variety of software platforms. Experience with Hubspot, Aircall, Gorgias, Asana, Slack and Google Workspace are a huge plus!

Pay: $42,542.27 – $51,233.70 per year
