As a Prime Source Foods Field Sales Representative for the Processing Department (FSR-PCR), you will be charged with an essential role in achieving revenue growth objectives for The Cutting Room ™. The main focus is to introduce The Cutting Room ™ bespoke protein items that are produced in-house, as well as the volume capacity that our top-of-the-line equipment can quickly provide to local customers. Presentations are made for existing or potential customers, and at restaurant, deli, hospital or other opportunities that may be worthwhile. Regular travel throughout New England is required as well as representing The Cutting Room ™ at food distribution trade shows.

This position requires in-depth knowledge of items currently produced, as well as concisely debriefing item requests to management and finding patterns in sales or potential revenue streams. The FSR-PCR will maintain continuity with The Cutting Room ™ branding and assist in developing marketing pieces to achieve these goals.

The FSR-PCR is comfortable making and answering dozens of qualifying calls each day, as well as vehicle travel to prospects regularly. Teamwork is involved to collaborate with various teammates in generating interest with qualifying prospects, showcasing products at our Culinary Institute or providing samples, asking for the sale and establishing customer accounts.

This is an OT exempt position and s directly to the Sr. Production Manager, and one will be expected to sign a confidentiality and non-compete agreement. A monthly allowance will be available for mileage and related receipts. There is opportunity to earn additional financial incentives through new customers and sales growth.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Source new sales opportunities through inbound leads, interest from current clientele, follow ups, outbound cold calls and emails.
• Travel to call on regular customers and prospective customers to solicit orders or meet with customers and assess their needs and requirements.
• Enter sales orders and ensure accuracy of data, assist in tracking Accounts Receivable and in collecting on accounts.
• Achieve sales and make quarterly quotas and incentives.
• Research accounts with FSR to identify key players and generate interest.
• Become expert in products and master the Canopy system.
• Other tasks as may be assigned from time to time

Requirements:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Economics, or similar field.
• Experience in a sales environment or food/restaurant industry.
• Current driver’s license; reliable personal vehicle with valid auto insurance.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

These skills and proof of related experience may outweigh the minimum qualifications:

• Comfortable on the phone and in person with potential customers and clients answering questions and offer persuasive expositions.
• Ability to professionally present programs, products and concepts to potential customers.
• Must have good computer skills MS Office, including excel and teams, and demonstrated CRM.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with peers and be part of a ‘team.’
• Development of a sales pitch that will convince potential customers and close business opportunities.
• Able to work independently but on activities performed each week.
• Able to stay positive and motivated when customers show no interest in what you are selling.
• “Can Do” attitude, persistent, insistent.
• Ability to strategize on how to close a sale in a demanding situation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a blended office/local day travel role. The office requires frequent use of keyboard, mouse, and multiple monitors. Company iPhone (office headset available) is used frequently every day. Ergonomic desks are installed to avoid periods of prolonged sitting. Working at NH headquarters is required weekly, after a full training period, administrative work from home (WFH) may be considered.

Travel 3-4 days a week is in personal vehicle throughout a multi-state geographical coverage and can be hundreds of miles in a work week.

Meetings with other team members may be in refrigerated areas and accessed by stairs.
