Registered Dental Hygienist
Chang Family Dental is looking for a professional, friendly and hardworking Dental Hygienist to join our dental family! Whether you are looking for part time or full time position, we are the dental office for you. We treat our staff like family and provide benefits. Wage will be dependent on experience and capability and is re-evaluated on an annual basis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct oral cancer screenings and update/review health history
• Provide hygiene services such as routine prophy, perio maintenance, scaling and root planing
• Be proficient in hand instrumentation, use of Cavitron and use of Airflow polisher
• Educate patients of all ages on proper oral care
• Take X-rays when needed
• Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
• Monitor supplies
• Sterilize dental instruments and perform universal infection control procedures
• Ability to administer local anesthesia

Skills

• Proven experience as Dental Hygienist
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
• Experience in preparing and maintaining dental hygiene equipment
• Outstanding communication skills and capacity to work well with others
• A patient and friendly personality
• Attention to detail
• Stamina to meet the physical demands of the job
• Diploma in Dental Hygiene
• Valid license to practice
• Valid license to administer local anesthesia
