Grammer Logistics Hiring for Rail Logistics Coordinator at Baton Rouge, LA Full Time

Job Description:

Preferred candidate has a minimum of 2 years of experience in rail scheduling or rail customer service. Direct experience in using Intellitrans rail management software would be ideal. This position will schedule and track railcar shipments at multiple facilities across North America. As a member of LMR’s logistics team, the chosen candidate will interface with various levels of management as well as multiple departments. Strong analytical skills will be valuable as this position is also responsible for a variety of ing and problem resolution functions. The candidate must have strong written and verbal skills, and the desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Candidate must be fluent with basic software applications, including Microsoft Office. Experience with SAP is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Tracking of railcars.
• Monitoring cars not moving, troubleshooting when necessary.
• Notifying Shipper of movement exceptions providing ‘Last Comments’.
• Working with the Railroads to correct open issues in a timely manner.
• Generating Standard Railcar s .
• Performing updates to rail car fleet(s) & sub-fleet(s) when requested to by the Shipper.
• Waybill Support -Waybill I Diversion I Rebill.
• Evaluating utilization of cars.
• Securing rail pricing and supporting accounting with railcar audit/pay issues.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Steady work history with a concentration in rail logistics and/or rail customer service
• Direct experience in using Intellitrans Rail Management Software
• Strong analytical skills
• Strong verbal and written communications
• Strong Microsoft Office skills especially Excel
