Context Labs Hiring for Process Engineer at Houston, TX Full Time

Context Labs is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical expertise supporting the deployment of our Decarbonization as a Service™ platform, built on our Immutably™ Data Fabric technology. This individual will provide oil & gas industry facility knowledge as a critical nexus to bridge the gap between our sales team, our customers, and our software engineering team. You will work directly with the engineering team and our customers to understand the customer needs, formulate solutions, and help them achieve their goals. This position will to the Director of Customer Experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, mark-up, and walk-down Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effects Charts (C&E), and other relevant facility design documentation to identify potential sources of greenhouse gas emissions (GHG)
• Actively interface between our customers and our software development team to ensure all required data is ingested into our machine learning-based platform
• Serve as a subject matter expert to support data analytics teams to perform advanced quantitative analysis of GHG emissions and identify and prioritize mitigation opportunities
• Create and manage project execution plans to ensure the deliverables are executed to the highest quality, on-time, and on-budget
• Provide highly responsive customer service and maintain a high level of member satisfaction, proactively identifying and resolving issues before, during, and after implementation
• Communicate effectively across a large matrix team to ensure sales, engineering, finance, leadership are suitably coordinated and informed
• Build strong internal and external relationships with professionalism, courtesy, and positivity

Skills and Qualifications

• The ideal candidate possesses 5+ years of oil & gas industry operations experience and is interested in deploying this experience in a new way to meaningfully contribute to a rapidly growing start-up focused on climate change mitigation
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (process/process safety, facilities/operations, mechanical, environmental, or similar related field)
• Significant experience in oil & gas operating facilities (upstream, midstream, or downstream) with the ability to thoroughly understand process flow and fluid property fundamentals
• Solid understanding of Piping & Instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), Cause & Effects Charts (C&E), Electrical One-Lines, Facility Layout Drawings, and similar engineered facility drawings
• Outstanding organizational skills. Able to effectively manage multiple, complex projects at once in a fast-paced environment, and maintain positive, collaborative relationships to interface effectively with multiple internal and external parties
• Proven ability to take initiative and produce results and a strong ability to collaborate with a diverse team of technical and business staff
• Experience with the Microsoft Office Suite and Project Scheduling Tools (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, SmartSheet, or similar
• Willing to travel periodically to field locations (<25%)

Preferred qualifications:

• Project Management Certification (PMI or equivalent) is a plus
• Any experience with end-to-end software application architecture or RESTful API integration would be viewed favorably but not required
